My New Transplanted Mulberry Tree Is Seasonally Confused. It Is Just Now (Fall) Producing Small Fruit. What Do I Do?

I got a Mulberry tree from a nursery. They were unable to sell it, and gave it to me along with my purchase. It had been in a very shady and crowded spot on their property. It was in sad shape. I planted it in August, and after a few weeks I could see it was happy and growing new leaves. My concern is that I just noticed it is growing small fruit, and I worry it is not prepared for the winter. Is that a thing? Any advice to help?

Mulberry trees are very hardy and often to the invasive status. If winter comes and berries are producing, it likely will halt the production in order to save itself.
