My new leaves on my bird of paradise are not opening up

I have had the plant for several years. Last year, the leaves never opened. I have new ones growing now and the new ones don’t seem to want to open either. 🙁

This typically indicates a humidity issue. Try increasing the humidity around the plant with either misting or pans of water.
