My monkey grass has brown spots on the old leaves. What do I do?

I know I am late cutting this one back, but when I got ready to do so today it had a lot of brown spots on it. Does it need fed something? This one is in a pot with some bleeding hearts (that the cold weather got). They have done well together for years. What suggestions do u have. I love this pot full of goodies. Karen

It sounds like they are experiencing a fungal infection. I would apply a little wettable sulfur, and dolomitic lime to the soil. This will help take care of the issue. You can still cut them back now. This will help with recovery as well.
