l gooey underneath. I put it outside for fresh air. I don’t know what else to do for it right now. It’s warm outside so I think it’ll be fine but I think I killed it. Maybe when I transplanted it the roots are getting too much water. Maybe it’s root rot.

You are spot on. These trees can handle a little dryness, but they cannot handle wet soils. I can see that it is saturated. This is bacterial and seriously infected. Since it is pretty far along, it will likely not make it.
