My Madagascar Palm Seemed To Be Growing Nicely, Then The Spikes At The Top Started To Grow, Then Turned Brown. This Happened Twice

. Now appears to be trying to grow out the side. Anything I can do to help my 2 ft plant? Will try to provide photo of top of plant. The plant spends half the time outside, then sits in our sunny 4 seasons room the rest of time.
