My Lawn Is Thick And Green, With The Exception Of Some Large Yellow Spots That Look Like The Grass Is Dead. No Pets.

I thatch and aerate every spring, fertilize, and weed killer. But have one spot in our lawn that turns yellow, like it’s dead every year.

Have you tried digging out that patch and reseeding or adding a bit of sod? It sounds like you take good care of the lawn and it isn't widespread so insects or disease don't seem likely.
