Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy lawn has an infestation of green foxtail. What is the best post emergent herbicide? I failed to fertilize last spring and am paying the price now. Would I be better advised to apply post herbicide now or let the green foxtail die over the winter and apply a pre-emergent in the spring?

Yes, using a pre- emergent in the spring is the best option.
I would contact your local county extension office and discuss any recommended products that have been effective in your particular area.
Here is a link for you and also a link to find your nearest county extension office.
