Q.My jasmine in garden pot has suddenly died whilst one nearby in same pot is flowering fine

That soil seems very moist. If that container does not allow for all extra moisture or rain to drain out, then this will be the cause. At this point, cutting back all dead growth and treating with a fungicide can help some, but it will not rid the issue. Once the soil drainage issue has been corrected, then you can go about treating with a fungicide.
