Q.My Japanese Maple looks like dying

Zone Redditch | Anonymous added on June 1, 2020 | Answered

Hello

I bought that plant few weeks ago and it looked healthy when buying.

I have changed the soil around roots as recommended on tag. since the leaves suffer I keep watering every second day. I can’t see any insects on the soil or on the plant.

It looks like it’s infected and it’s spreading quite fast. 🙁

I will appreciate your idea and advice about IT as I really wouldn’t like to lose this plant.

Thank you 🙂

You may be overwatering. Once a week should be enough in the absence of rain. Water deeply when you do water. Also, does it get a little shade in the afternoon? It may have some leaf scorch if it's in full sun.

If you lose it, don't hesitate to reach out to the seller. Most nurseries and big box stores have a year guarantee.
