jade is getting yellow leaves with spots

My jade is getting yellow leaves with spots and dropping them all of a sudden. One week ago it looked fine and has not been moved. This is a well established jade. I did recently add a high acid fertilizer, slow release. The leaves get pale with spots and fall off. Thanks for your help.

It could very well be due to the highly acidic fertilizer. Jade plants respond best in slightly acidic soil. You may need to repot the plant (or even start another plant just in case) in fresh soil and hold off on fertilizing until it’s bounced back. Then fertilize about once every six months with a balanced water soluble fertilizer. Make sure your fertilize only when soil is wet to avoid damage to roots.
