My Japanese Maple Has Frost Damage

My Japanese maple got hit by a hard frost. The temp. got in the mid 20’s. I covered it but I think it was too late. The leaves are drying up and turning brown. They were a nice deep red. What can I do to help it? This tree means a lot to me and my family, it is only two years old. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I would wait to see if they grow new leaves. Also, once the threat of frost is over, you can remove the brown/dead leaves. As long as the stems and branches are still alive, they will grow new leaves. This article will help you determine if the plant is still alive:
