My Indoor Weeping Fig Has Dropped Leaves

The plant/tree hasn’t been repotted for many yrs. It’s been in the same spot (bright light). We have wood heat (maybe low humidity?). Can I cut it back to get the leaves to grow back?

If the leaf drop occured after heating started, it would be safe to assume that is the cause. You can trim to encouurage new growth, but the plant usually starts producing new leaves almost immediately. Plants can spend several years in the same container without repotting, as long as they have regular fertilize that is well balanced. (Follow package instructions.)
