My Indoor Goldfish Plant Produced A White, Round Ball In One Flower

I’ve had this growing for years and this is a first. It also has tiny, white flakes on the leaves and stems. No nearby plants are affected.

The white ball is a berry, no cause for alarm. However, the flakes could be from a pest, such as aphids, so I suggest spraying all sides of the leaves with Neem oil.
