Q.My Hydrangea Bush Looks Like It Is Dying. How Can I Best Take Care Of It?

It is hot summer with rain coming in around 2x a week. However, my hydrangea bush looks like it is dying. The blue has turned into brown and I’m worried. I tried watering it, but it didn’t stop the browning. Help.

You can deadhead the spent blooms to tidy it up. Since you have a macrophylla hydrangea, buds are forming now for next year. When you deadhead, examine behind the bloom for growing buds and be sure not to clip them off. Here is more:
