Q.My Husband Just Cut Off All My Hydrangeas Down To The Soil. Will They Grow Back? What Can I Do To Help Them?
We live in Nebraska. What can I do to help them grow back? The variety is Annabel or Incrediball. They were roughly 3 to 3 1/2 feet tall. Thank you

Husbands will do that. I'm sure your hydrangea will be fine. You might mulch it, though. When you cut them back before they are dormant, you risk encouraging new growth. Yours may have already gone dormant.
It's best not to prune them till spring. So in the future, wait till early spring and cut them back by about 1/3, or according to the Kansas State website, cut them back to just above the first plump bud.
