My hibiscus is dropping immature buds

I have a gorgeous tropical hibiscus that was blooming wonderfully; however, we recently moved and although it’s still developing spectacular flowers, I have noticed a large amount of immature buds dropping and can only speculate that this may be due to the large number of birds, particularly robins, or the hornets that are gathering pollen from the underdeveloped buds. Could this be the case?

This is likely caused from your recent move and the plant is simply reacting by dropping the buds. This will correct itself. I do not believe it is from birds or hornets. As long as the plant is healthy looking otherwise, I would not be too worried. If, however, you begin seeing other symptoms, such as leaf yellowing or wilting, you may have an issue of concern–like pests or fungus. If this should be the case, neem oil is normally an effective treatement for both.
