Hibiscus Bushes Have Very Brittle Leaves

My hibiscus bushes have very brittle leaves and fall off at the slightest touch. They are also turning yellowish. What can I do to remedy this and get good bushes again? I will say they are in large pots and have not been repotted.

This can happen for many reasons. In your case, I am leaning towards that the plant is not getting enough water, either because they need to be watered more often or there is a problem with the roots that is preventing the plant from taking up water. Check the roots and make sure that you are not letting the soil get dry.
