My geraniums are budding but rot before the flower opens.

What can I do with my geraniums to help them flower. They bud but then the bud dies and I don’t get flowers

For optimal bloom, feed the plant lightly with a well balanced fertilizer ( 10-10-10) once a month during the active growing season. Container plants may need to be fed more often (2x month) because the nutrients can leach out from the bottom of the pot when watering. They bloom best when slightly pot bound.
You can remove the wilted florets, this will encourage the lower buds to bloom. Geranium flowers bloom best when protected from rain or spraying water.
