My Geranium Plants Are Loosing Their Leaves And The Stems Are Soft And Deteriating.

I live in zone 9. the plants were in pots outside. We had a period of time when we had a great deal of rain. Could that have caused rotting?

Yes, especially if the containers don't have adequate drainage holes. Fungicides may be necessary. Here are some articles that will help:
