Q.My figs are hollow inside
My figs are hollow inside. They are ripened in colour but are very knobby on the surface and very bumpy. This has been happening for a while now. I used to neglect the tree and thought it was due to that but despite watering and feeding the issue remains.

There are two things that I can think of that it might be. One is that it is Aspergillus rot. There will be yellow powder inside the hollow fruit.
The other is that you have a variety of fig that needs to be wasp pollinated. These are rather unusual in the general market though and are not often found in the home garden.
