Q.fig leaves yellow

Zone New Jersey | jjarolmen added on July 31, 2015 | Answered

My Fig tree is at least 10 years old and the last few years has not produced any fruit but plenty of leaves. Now some of the leaves are yellow and look like they have a brown dust on them. The fig tree is in the ground and gets lots of sun. What could be the problem?

Lack of fruit is generally a high Nitrogen low Phosphorous issue.
Bone Meal is a way to remedy this.

The brown dust sounds Rust.
You will need to treat as the link below directs.

Make sure the tree is receiving enough water. 2 to 3 inches of hardwood mulch will help retain moisture.
