Q.My Dogwood Tree Leaves Have Wilted
I bought a dogwood tree from Walmart a month and a half ago. I planted it to instructions and everything was fine for 3 weeks. Then it rained for several days straight with my yard even flooding. Since then I’ve noticed the leaves wilting. I went back to Walmart to ask for help. They said get a supplement but didn’t bother to tell me what kind. I got a bag of Expert Gardner meant for Dogwood. It’s only supposed to be put on between 4 to 6 weeks at a time. I put the recommended amount based on tree size. In the two weeks since the tree has gotten worse. I spent almost 30 dollars on this tree and it was a mother’s day gift. I reallly don’t want to lose it but I don’t know what else to do. Thank you for any help given.

Unfortunately, It will be necessary to improve soil drainage, or flooding, before the tree will improve. There are many ways to do so, the easiest being to dig a drain or rain garden pond in the yard. This article will help:
