My dieffenbachia grows leaves, however they stay curled. What’s wrong?

I tried moving it to another location; it has been going for years. I don’t have a photo

Did moving the plant to a new location help?
Here are things to check for:
Spider mites, aphids or other sucking insects; treat with insecticidal soap.
Low humidity
Low light
Over or underwatering
