are often due to under or overwatering. You can let it dry out a bit between watering. They also require very well draining soil. Add compost to the soil if it needs better drainage. Also check the leaves for an insect pest. (Neem oil is a good remedy for most insects.) Daphne does best in morning sun with some shade in the afternoon.
You don't need to fertilize daphne, but you can add a layer of compost each spring. These articles should help:
