Q.My Crape Myrtle has brown edges

Zone 76210 | hansford added on July 21, 2012 | Answered

I live in North Texas. We have a crape myrtle in the backyard that is in distress. It has flowers but the leaves are dying around the edges. I have increased the watering cycle but was wondering if this could be something else?

This indicates a watering issue. Either the trees are not getting enough water or there is something affecting the roots that is preventing the roots from taking up water. Increasing the water should help.
