Q.My coconut palm has red ants
coconut palm seems stunted, upon inspection I noticed ants are nesting at the base and I’m wondering how to get rid of the ants without harming the tree?

If you want to stay away from poisons, spread some diatomaceous earth around the base of the palm and where the ant colony is.
Chemical control for ants is available and also will help the issue; follow application directions.
I would also suggest talking with your County Extension Office, they may have advice that is suited to your region.
