It depends on the deficiency. If you had blossom end rot, then it can help. Otherwise, you need a more robust food source.
Worm castings are a good source of nutrients, but it isn't complete. Test your soil before adding to be sure the pH isn't off. This can throw off nutrients and appear as a deficiency. Adding worm castings is always a good idea, as long as it is an additive and not your soil, alone.
As for adding gypsum... You will DEFINITELY want to test your soil for pH imbalances first. Adding this without testing for calcium or sulfur deficiencies isn't a good idea, though.
Either way. Testing your soil will tell you exactly what you need to know.
