Unfortunately your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the damage. Usually, this will indicate overwatering. They are very drought tolerant, but will not tolerate wet soils. It is best to use a cactus mix, or use that mixed with a little potting soil. This will allow for proper drainage. Here is an article that will help you care for the plant:
