Q.My Cattails Did Not Come Back

Zone Eliot, ME 03903 | Anonymous added on June 21, 2021 | Answered

I have a 1.4 acre water surface pond that I have taken care of for years. Stocked with trout, bass and catfish. All fish are doing great. I use pond dye and natural bacteria products to control algae in the summer. I always have a great area for my cattails that grow 6 to 10 feet tall all summer long. This year they did not come back anywhere in the pond only a few on the sides. I didn’t change anything from other years. The only thing is that we had a lot of snow melt and high water for most of the spring. Any advise on what may had happened.
