Q.My Camellia Leaves Are Curling Up
I am in NZ do it is late winter – although we’ve had a pretty mild month of July. The leaves are curling up badly. I had a problem extensively through my garden last summer leaves curling like a hormonal spray. Nothing had been sprayed or introduced though.

Leaf rolling is usually due to stress, but also check for caterpillars rolled up inside. Cold injury can cause leaf roll in camellias, though you've had a mild July. There could be moisture stress going on as evidenced by the brown leaf edges. Keep it watered and mulch if there isn't any mulch under the shrub.
