My Cactus Is Over 20 Years Old Has Lost A Large Size Arm

Where the arm fell off there is a crack coming around the cactus I’m afraid the top of cactus will call off its pretty tall cactus is 20 ft tall the crack is about 5 ft down from top. is there a chance this could crack all around and fall don’t want to call on house car or person

If you are in doubt about the cactus harming someone, or something, then it will be a good idea to remove the top portion of it. Spray the wound with a 10% bleach/water solution to avoid infection from the pruning.
