Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy cactus is losing its color. The plant looks purple instead of green. Why? It’s on the east window sill in an air conditioned kitchen. That’s where it’s been since I got it just under a year ago.

It may be getting to much sunlight.
If the cactus and roots are getting to much sun and heat up you can seed this color change.
Also make sure you are not overwatering. Root rot may also be part of the issue.
