Q.My Cactus Fell Over And Has A Soft Spot

Zone 52761 | Anonymous added on May 9, 2021 | Answered

The wind blew my cactus over and the top now has a soft spot where it hit the ground. I don’t know what to do. Should I cut the spot out? Its about 2-3″long and at the very top. I’ve had this cactus for over 10 years and its 39″tall. It would break my heart if I couldn’t fix her. Please help!

I would watch it and see if it heals on its own. If it starts to look worse, like it's rotting, then definitely cut out the rotting part.
