My beautiful moss back yard has rust spots now. What can I do? Thanks

This moss established itself and has spread so nicely over the years. Now I see patches of rust. I do have a puppy- are these urine burns? I want to save my moss

Yes. I think you already have an idea of what the problem is here. You will just have to stop your dog from urinating on the lawn. It is being burned by ammonia from urine.

That will be the only way that it will recover.
