Q.Apricot Has Stopped Producing Fruit

Anonymous added on March 7, 2014 | Answered

I moved in 6+ years ago – lovely established apricot tree in yard. It produced fruit the first 3 summers and minimal/none since then. I have had my gardener prune it, and I have fed it fruit tree ‘vitamins’ to no avail. Another neighbor says she has had the same issue. I am just not ready to give up – the fruit was amazing and my jam made everyone happy.

I would recommend adding phosphorus to the soil. This is normally the most common cause for flowering or fruiting issues. For additional reasons why this can occur, this article should be of some help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/apricots/apricot-tree-not-fruiting.htm
