Many amaryllis need support while flowering. Supports that can be purchased are small single stakes and orchid supports. If you have them on hand, 2 chopsticks can be placed on either side of the stem and a wide tape, like packing tape or even duct tape can be wrapped around the stem and chopsticks. If the stem “skin” is broken, wrap a layer of tape around the stem first being careful to bring the open edges together.
