Must You Have Male And Female Tree To Produce Pods.

We have got a very big carob tree in the garden. It’s got lots of flowers. Someone said it would make pods because You have got both male and female trees. Thanks MA RÖSCH

Sometimes a tree will have both sexes of flowers on the same tree, but most of the time they will be separate. Male trees will not produce, and female trees need a male or hermaphrodite in the area to fruit. Still, it can take a few decades to see the first fruit.
