Q.Mushroom Growing

Anonymous added on September 29, 2011 | Answered

We have purchased a mushroom grow-at-home kit and there seems to be a small white bug moving in the soil. Is this okay or should we get rid of it? The mold for the mushrooms is just starting to grow but the white things seem to be moving. Can I spray them with something?

Sounds like garden symphylans (which is common). This article will help determine if these worms are the ones in question: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/garden-symphylan-small-white-worm-like-bugs-in-the-soil.htm
