Hi: I would rather not buy mums yearly. How can I get them to come back year after year???

There are specific cultivars of the mum that are a perennial, naturally. It is best to get these. You can bring the annuals indoors during the winter, then cut them back before you put them out in spring, but they don’t seem to come back as full.

Alternatively, you can harvest the flower heads when they start to dry, and spread the seeds around in spring.
