Q.Multiple small shoots from tree lilies

Zone Merseyside, UK | Anonymous added on April 7, 2020 | Answered

Last year I planted 3 tree lily bulbs and they all produced 1 large shoot, grew tall and flowered well. I overwintered them in their large container.

This year, one has produced 1 large shoot, but the other 2 have produced multiple small shoots. What could have caused this and will it occur every year now?
