Mulching

Question

I am not sure if its ok to use a tarpaulin under mulch or should i use special weed mat. Ive been told weed mat is good for drainage. Thanks

Tarps are not typically used with mulch, but alone during the summer for 8 weeks to kill weeds - called solarization. Here is information on using weed barrier cloths.
