Moving bell peppers

I started growing bell pepper plants from seeds about 5-6 weeks ago. Right now they are about an inch tall. They are together in a small plastic container and I’ve been leaving them outside. I’ve been told I need to transplant them. I would like to know if they have to be in the ground or can I put them in a flower pot? Do I plant them together or separate? I really need any help you can give me. I have never had a green thumb and I’ve even been known to accidentally kill a cactus 🙁 I’m so far very proud of myself with these bell pepper plants because this is the longest I’ve ever kept a plant alive. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration. 🙂

Congratulations on starting your pepper seeds.
Typically your seeds should have been started approx 7 weeks prior to the last frost date in the spring of the year.
Your peppers need 35 to 45 days from seed to garden transplant.
Your little seedlings will not have enough time to grow and produce peppers this late in the season.
You could continue growing them and move them to larger pots as they grow. Keeping them in containers would allow you to keep them in the sun as long as the weather is warm enough and then move them indoors as the temperatures cool.
I don’t know if you will be able to get peppers but you certainly can give it a try.
