Q.Moving a Gardenia Outdoors

Anonymous added on April 19, 2011 | Answered

I’ve had my gardenia indoors all winter. I live in CT. Temps are in the high 40’s at night and 50 to 65 daytime. How soon could I move the plant outdoors?

Once the threat of frost and freezing temps are passed, you can move the plant outdoors. However, you'll want to acclimate the plant first. The following articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/acclimating-houseplants-outdoors.htm
