Moss Lawn

Question

My lawn is massive with an enormous amount of weeds. I also have alot of moss in it. I was considering doing a moss lawn and flower bed. My question is how can I get rid of all the weeds before I allow the moss to grow? I have used everything from garden centers to home remedies to get rid of them and replanted grass with no sign of getting rid of the weeds. Can you help? Thankyou. Kathy
