Moroccan Mound New Spikes Have White On The Ends?

I just noticed that the many new spikes on my moroccan mound have white on the tips…fungus?….

It could be! It could be the sap latex, or other things, as well. Unfortunately, your photos did not come through, so I am unable to say what the issue is.
