Monrova Brown turkey figs

How do I take care of my fig bush in the spring? The bush was covered in the fall and now I have uncovered it. The branches are sticking out but are dead (I believe). Do I cut them all the way down? I know the new shots come from the bottom of the bush. Last year I cut them all the way down and most of the figs were late and I lost a lot of the figs. Can you help me?

Test the branches, do they bend or snap off.
You can prune the dead branches from the Fig.

Figs will rebound pretty quickly.
