Monkey puzzle tree

How can I start a new plant off my monkey puzzle tree? Do I need to root it in water or just cut a section off and plant it? It is an indoor plant.

From what I’ve read, monkey puzzle trees cannot grow from regular cuttings. There is supposed to be a way to propagate them from dormant side buds which produce something known as epicormic shoots. See the Propagation section of this article:
