Q.Monkey Puzzle In Container
We own a monkey puzzle tree in a container. The tree is about 4 feet high. We noticed a bump underneath its plastic pot. Then I read about that a monkey puzzle tree has tap roots. So it must explain the bump underneath. Do you think we could cut the specific root? Cutting it, will it kill the tree? We had it for two years now. We keep it in our glass house in Quebec Canada. I will really appreciate your answer.

You can repot it in a larger, more accommodating container. When repotting, you can lightly prune the roots to help keep the tree's growth in bounds.
