Q.money tree

Zone 11561 | jimcur added on March 12, 2018 | Answered

I had a money tree about 18 inches tall and doing very well and then all of a sudden the trunks by the soil line became soft and rotten and the tree shed all it’s leaves and died. What happened?

The soil remained too wet for too long. It is best to make sure that there is plenty of drainage, and that you only water when the top of the soil is almost completely dry. This will keep the problem from happening again in the future.
