Monkey Grass

We just planted monkey grass as a border for flower bed. The stems of the monkey grass are turning brown. Do I cut this off or leave it? Is this normal?

Yes, this is fairly normal as it adjusts to its new surroundings. But don’t worry, these plants are extremely tough and trimming off some of the foliage will help rejuvenate them.
